DESCRIPTION

From 2021 to 2025, I worked as a Software Developer at DoubleJump Games, collaborating closely with designers, artists, and content creators to build gameplay experiences for a massive online audience. Much of my work supported creator-led projects for the YouTuber SSundee, whose content reaches over 25 million subscribers. These projects were built on rapid production cycles, often requiring weekly, recording-ready builds that needed to be both fun to play and reliable under tight deadlines.

My role focused heavily on gameplay implementation in Unity using C#. I built and iterated on player roles, abilities, UI systems, and complete gameplay conversions, often integrating 2D assets such as Spine2D animations and wiring them into Unity’s animation and UI pipelines. Because content was produced and tested continuously, I spent a significant amount of time debugging complex issues in live environments, optimizing performance, and ensuring gameplay systems behaved consistently across frequent updates.

Working in this environment sharpened my ability to iterate quickly, communicate clearly across disciplines, and balance technical correctness with creative goals. It also gave me a strong appreciation for polish and clarity, since gameplay needed to be immediately readable and entertaining for both players and viewers. The experience reinforced my interest in building systems that empower rapid content creation while remaining stable and extensible over time.
